I have only had this watch for a few days, but I had an older model expedition for many years....until extreme heat made the O ring fail. What I really liked about the older watch was the durability, ease of use and outstanding Indiglo lighting. What I didn't like was the compass was not very useful....only rarely did it actually work.
The new watch is similar but the font size is a little bigger (a plus), the strap is super comfortable, the buttons are easy to press and the compass WORKS. No, I wouldn't count on it to take the place of a dedicated compass but so far it's passed my tests. The only "con" I can come up with so far is that it is a bit thick in design. It isn't overly bulky, just not sleek.
If you are looking for a good everyday compass watch this seems to fit the part very well. A little less bulk and plastic "cheapness" and it would get 5 stars.
