This is a really nice looking watch that I have received many compliments on. I went with Seiko because my first one (purchased on my honeymoon) held up so well (I am about to celebrate 25 years of wedded bliss).
I like the two tone construction and the dark face with gold numbers. It is easy to read and my eyes aren't what they used to be. The case is also fairly thin so it is comfortable and doesnt catch on your sleeve. It is heavier than my old one but I adjusted to that very quickly. I only wear it to work and dress up situations, not outdoor activities (wear the $9 watch from Walmart for that).
The band was too large at first but I did also purchase a pin remover so I could adjust it myself. It was easy to do and took only a few minutes. Removing two links left me with a perfect fit.
My past experience with Seiko's tells me you will get pretty long life out of the crystal befoe it gets too scratched up, unless you play rugby in it. I also still had the original band on my old one when I retired it. The clasp is very easy to use. I can't comment on how long it will last since it is different than my previous one.
I did shop all over for a Seiko and found, by far, the best price on Amazon.
