I'm new to the clipless pedal fad, but this seemed like a good shoe with good ventilation (even has a hole on the bottom to improve airflow I presume). The sole is as stiff as any in this price range... and it's a light shoe too. But there are serious comfort issues with this shoe. First, it will be a tight fit with people with wider feet. Second, the inner sole is almost flat after the arch, which means that the ball on your foot won't have an indentation for comfort like you get on any other sports shoe with this price range or lower. So why can't Shimano do it? I guess I'll have to find another one later or buy a gel padded sole that has a indentation for the ball built into the sole instead of part of the shoe itself.
